DO YOU HAVE ANY BREED RESTRICTIONS?

            No.  We gladly provide the same personalized, loving care for all breeds, large and small.

DO YOU WALK DOGS FROM DIFFERENT FAMILIES TOGETHER?

           No.  We only walk dogs from the same family together.  We do not provide group or "pack" walks.  By doing this, we are able to give 100% individualized service and attention to your dog.

WILL I HAVE THE SAME DOG WALKER EVERY TIME?

           Yes. The only times you may have a substitute walker are if your primary walker is sick, has an emergency, or is on vacation.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

            We need to receive your cancellation at least 24 hours in advance of your pet’s next visit date for a full refund.

WHAT GEAR DO YOU NEED?

            A collar with tags is it for most clients. We have all our own gear like leashes, poop bags, and treats. If you need to send your dog out with specific treats for dietary reasons that can be arranged as well.

HOW DO I KNOW YOUR SITTER IS VISITING MY PETS?

            We use a dog walking company software, Time to Pet, that tracks every visit.  This is downloadable as an easy-to-use app for your phone.  Our software logs when your dog walker arrives at and leaves your house and, thanks to GPS, it can even tell us the exact route your dog walker took.

            Plus, you’ll receive a Daily Report Card (sent to your phone or email) at the end of every single visit that details things your sitter noticed, such as how much your pet ate and how many times they needed to potty.

WHO ARE YOUR DOG WALKERS?

            Our dog walkers are career animal lovers. These are not people who are looking for a little extra money in addition to their day jobs – they do pet sitting and dog walking all day, every day.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING THE INITIAL CONSULTATION?

            The initial consultation usually lasts about 30 minutes.  During this meet-and-greet, your dog walker and pet will meet each other so everyone is comfortable. You’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions, as well as show us any special needs your pet or home may have.  

            We’ll ask for detailed instructions about how you want your pets taken care of.  We want to maintain your routine with your pets as much as possible, which we believe is vital in keeping your pets stress-free while you’re away.  

            We’ll also ask for information such as any health problems and/or medications required by your pets and emergency contact information (in case we can’t contact you).

CAN YOU FEED MY DOG AT PICKUP/DROP OFF?

            Of course! We can feed your dog lunch at pickup, at dropoff, or out on the road, in addition to administering any medications that she may need.  We can also provide transportation to take your dog to the groomers or vet.

HOW CAN YOU GET INTO MY HOME?

            This is completely up to you, depending on what method with which you feel most comfortable.  Some clients leave a key under the mat outside their home for us to retrieve and return at each visit.  For other clients, we may provide them with an external lockbox in which to store the key.  And many recurring clients will provide us with a duplicate copy of their house key.

            Please note that your security is a priority for us:  any keys that are provided to The Puppy Butler are safely stored in a locking key safe in our office when not being used by your pet professional to walk your dog.  Keys are coded and do not have your name or address on them. You may request the return of your keys at any time.

ARE YOU INSURED AND BONDED?

            Yes. For your peace of mind, all of our dog walkers are covered under our insurance and bonding.  
            Our insurance protects against things that may happen while we are with your dog. While your dog is in our care, injury, damage, and loss to either your dog or a third party is covered.
            Bonding protects the priceless possessions inside your home. For instance, a dog walker accidentally knocks over and destroys your favorite fabergé egg... the egg is covered.

HOW LONG IS MY DOG WALKED?

            We have options for 15 minutes, 30 minutes (most popular!), 45 minutes, and 1 hour. If you would like your dog to be cared for longer than 1 hour at a time, please let us know and we can work with you.

WHAT ARE YOUR DOG WALKING HOURS?

            The Puppy Butler specializes in mid-day dog walks for those who need service during the work week. However, we understand that everyone's schedule is different, so if you need care for your dog outside of these hours, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
